OCR Prices on simple text pages
OCR – Type 1 $0.15 – Auto OCR “as is” conversion. You get the results exactly as the OCR Engine produces them. There is no quality check on this service. Text only – no images, no editing. Minor cleanup to remove headers/footers and page numbers included.
OCR – Type 2 This is basically the same service as Auto OCR, an OCR technician runs a spell-checker in a word-processor after OCR to find most Optical Character Recognition errors automatically and provides a quality control to identify pages that require further service.
OCR – Type 3 This output is a full OCR service. Maintain text, formats, font style, and lay-out of the original image as best as possible, usually with at least 99% accuracy of the original.
Little editing is typically required for documents that are clearly printed. No OCR software can guarantee full accuracy. The conversion’s success depends on the original’s quality.
Manual Retyping starting at $1.00 a page for documents that are text only.
The effectiveness of Optical Character Recognition depends on how good the original documents are. We offer a new Manual Retyping service for documents that contain only text. This service allows you to save time by converting paper information into a digital format, which reduces the need for corrections. Pricing is determined by factors such as the condition of the paper, the type of content, and the production schedule. There are extra costs for columns, tables in Word format, spreadsheets, images, poor-quality originals, and technical manuals. Additional charges may also apply for preparation, indexing, re-assembly, taxes, shipping, and media like CD/DVD or USB storage.

OCR Basics: What is OCR Scanning?
OCR scanning refers to the process of scanning paper documents, PDFs or digital photographs into a more flexible, user-friendly scanned format. Without Optical Character Recognition, the scanned copy of any paper record or PDF is essentially an inert copy that cannot be improved upon. However, when OCR scanning capabilities are adopted into scanning, the scanned copies are more dexterous. They can be edited in various ways and become easier to search, save and retrieve. For instance, page numbers can be added through an OCR scanner that helps to create an order of scanned copies, helping greatly to stack the scanned documents in the form of a managed database. OCR functionalities include removing image disturbances associated with digital camera images. OCR software provides tools for editing text or images within the scanned copy apart from improving their overall quality. The more premium versions of OCR provide services like automated scheduled scanning.
Understand Dynamics of OCR Conversion
Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology is used for converting PDF, digital images or paper records into an easily editable and searchable scanned copy. Every OCR application uses a basic OCR conversion method. This includes a combination of computing, artificial intelligence and precise code recognition. The capability of OCR software is measured by its conversion ability. While some can convert basic images or texts only, advanced OCR can also decode text imposed upon images. OCR conversion features are defined by Adaptive Recognition Technology that is found among the best OCR software available today. This helps in easier processing of images captured with camera. OCR software with better conversion capability helps to create scanned copies that are mirror images of actual photographs along with providing tools for further editing/clarifying the images. Conversion capability of Optical Character Recognition doesn’t mean that it is more complex to handle. The interface remains the same, only the performance is more impressive.
OCR Software Basics You Should Know
OCR software uses Optical Character Recognition technology for converting documents, photographs, imaging records and PDF files into a digitalized format. OCR created files are different from scanned images. These are not mere digital copies of the documents. An OCR file reader can convert the data into an editable and searchable format. Modern OCR software is advanced enough to precisely convert brochures or magazines where images and text are merged. Modern Optical Character Recognition solutions used in workplaces can handle large batches of files, undertake faster scanning & conversion and even segregate and store the digital documents into their respective folders. This eases the task of converting paper records into the electronic format and organizing them. Databases created with such OCR technology makes it easier to search and retrieve scanned documents and ensure their protection. The latest versions of OCR are offered with encryption facility for PDF files that helps to ensure their security by limiting their access.
